• 100% Estate Grown Pinot Noir, vineyard planted by Richard Karlo in 2009
• Hand-harvested fruit, 15kg totes, late September 2020
• Crushed & destemmed with 25% whole clusters added
• Spontaneous fermentation, alcoholic & malo
• 18 day cuvaison with thrice daily punch down
• Racked & pressed to barrels; 85% neutral & 15% second fill
• Unfiltered & unfined
• Lightly sulphured after malo & at bottling
• Bottled in April of 2020

• This wine shows a beautiful garnet colour in the glass and has an expressive nose of wild black raspberries, macerated dark cherries, blueberries, red currants, and a subtle spice background. It's just gorgeous on the palate with a cherry/raspberry explosion, some earthy/savoury notes, cassis, soft, silky tannins, just a hint of pepper and a lifted, finessed finish.
